Staying in a converted cow shed with his family, some of the biggest names in
entertainment jetted into Ireland to collaborate with MJ on what record label bosses hoped would be his big comeback album.
But the sessions were never completed before
Michael left Ireland later that year, never to return,
tragically dying three years later in
LA from an overdose of painkillers.
However, studio boss Paddy Dunning revealed how he has just returned from the
US this week, where he was signing up superstar artists to sing the songs which were originally intended for Michael.
Paddy Dunning told The Irish Sun on Sunday: “There's about ten more, written especially for Michael by the collaborators he worked with in Ireland — including producer Rodney Jerkins and rapper Nephew, who have signed up for the project.”
The businessman said he has also met and got the agreement of Jacko's estate to release the record — and a documentary about the pop star's magical summer in Ireland, which saw him frequent local cinemas with his three
children .
Paddy revealed: “Michael's estate told me to plow ahead with this because like me, they see it as a tribute to Michael.
“And for the documentary we're going to get everyone's memory of working with Michael in Ireland.”
MJ brought his children , Prince,
Paris and Blanket, with him when he stayed at Grouse Lodge in 2006.
And studio boss Paddy told how he met with Jackson's eldest son Prince on his recent visit to the US.
Paddy said: “Prince was talking about his memories of being in Grouse Lodge, and all the fun they had.
“He said himself, his brother and sister would be back over to Ireland to see us again.”
The
Dublin -born studio owner was also in the US preparing for the premiere of his Giant project in Last Vegas later this year.
Paddy previously told Jacko “just couldn't believe” the anonymity that he enjoyed during his trip.
He said of MJ: “He could walk around . . . he immersed himself in Irish culture and took a special interest in Irish history.”
