pd: pussycontrol, haciendo amig*s,:dime: xp!

List of Michael's performances (lip synch info):

J5 / Jackson's era: tours and full concerts were usually live, meanwhile one off mini shows and award show performances were more often than not, lip synched.

Award Shows: Usually lip synched all the way through, Motown 25 Jackson 5 medley was live, Billie Jean was literally the album track sped up a little. Grammys 1988 was lip synched, the last half of Man In The Mirror was live. at MTV 95 ', lat bit of YANA was live (same as on Soul Train 95'). Elizabeth I love you was live at the beginning but the rest wasn't. WMA 2006 was live (the bit he was on stage during WATW)

Victory Tour: 100% Live

BAD Tour: The 1987 leg was all live. The first USA leg in 1988 was mostly live and I'm pretty sure the first few concerts of that leg were entirely live (except the first half of MITM) I'm not sure when I've started the lip sync more on that tour but I imagine it was more towards the end of that leg and then started turning his microphone volume down for the first half of Smooth Criminal, Bad, TWYMMF, and MITM, but always finished the song live.

Dangerous Tour: Jam was lip synched and occasionally he did ad lips to start the song and on a few occasions his mic was on over the playback at the end of the song. Smooth Criminal was lip synched and there were a few times where the playback came in late (fun fact the first few lines in Bucharest and Munich 1992, were live) Thriller, IDk why this was but probably to make the transition into the disappearing act smoother . WYBT, Idk why either, end was live tho. HTW, was prolly cuz it sounded better (IDK either), Bad, and TWYMMF were usually lip synched until the end of the song (until they were dropped from the set), and MITM was lip synched the first half, the live.

Brunei 1996: Same songs were lip synched and live as for on Dangerous Tour, end of YANA was live. I believe that at various times during Earth Song he sang over the playback, the ending ad-libs were live.

HWT: Only WBSS, J5 Medley, the speaking parts of in the closet, the end of Smooth Criminal, the ad-lips on Beat It, the ad-libs on Billie Jean, end of Heal The World, and end of History were live . There were some concerts where he sang parts of dangerous live, and he sang the first verse of Scream live in Brunei. In one of the Amsterdam shows he sang the end of TWYMMF live. I think the first Blood On The Dancefloor performance had live vocals on it. There were a few other instances like in Budapest where he sang over playback (TDCAU). But that was rare.

MJ and Friends: Intro was lip synched I believe, the ad-libs during Slash's guitar solo were live, the end of Billie Jean was live, the end of YANA was live.

30th anniversary: all Jackson 5 / Jackson's stuff was live, he sang TWYMMF with Britney no playback, and I think the other night was a mix on that song too. Billie Jean he sang over playback at times and did the ad-lips, Beat It was half live, Black or White was a mix I think, and You Rock my World was live except for the bridge.

What More Can I Give Was live, but More dubbed in the official release of the show.

Apollo 2002: Dangerous was lip synched, Black or White was lip synched, Heal The World was live at the end.

This Is It: WBSS would have been live, Jam would have been playback with ending ad-libs live, Stranger in Moscow was rehearsed live (but he also rehearsed it live for HWT and lip synched it on the tour sooo who knows). They Don't Care About Us was lip synched and ending ad-libs live. Human Nature was live. Smooth Criminal was a mix, it was rehearsed live but the editors of the film edited in so the first verse was lip synched, so I think it was either entirely live, or half live. TWYMMF was live at the slow, verses and chorus' lip synched, and end ad libs live (there is audio of him rehearsing entirely live so IDK). J5 Medley was live. IJCSLY was live. No info on Dangerous. Dirty Diana was prolly live. Beat it was live. Thriller was lip synched but not much is known about this song either as there is no about the song (no full amateur recordings). Earth Song I believe was live then the end was lip synched or a mix, the 24th rehearsal was live (but the film edited it) because the microphone was off and playback came on I believe, I highly doubt MJ would have gone all out for to rehearsal. Billie Jean probably was playback until after moonwalk but it could have been live. Man In The Mirror, I have no idea about, the film has it entirely playback with a few lines live at the end, but also not much is known here either. You are not alone I don't know about, same with Will You Be There. and The OTW medley, and Heal The World. I know Michael wanted to sing as much as possible on this tour, combined with the fact that we haven't seen that much info on every song, we can only inference.
