Sony set the selling price for "This is It" movie in behalf of John Branca / MJ Estate and Branca went for Sony's price. John Branca sell out MJ to Sony

Sony email to John Branca : "Apparently Roger Friedman of the Hollywood Reporter has been told that the rights are going for more than 75 m. Can the Estate or Sony refute the story on the record? How would you like to handle?"

John Branca did a price of favor to Sony for Sony to buy the rights of This Is It....John Branca and Sony did not like that the price to sell/buy the rights for "this is it" was not 60M but 75M ....

they just called me saying they are going with it. let's see how it breaks. apparently the report will say something to the effect that the price went
up when the tv deal went away.. some twisted logic about the tv deal affecting the movie..

I agree. I would not want to deny it on the record. That leads to a game of twenty questions. Not happy they are printing with firm off the record

The estate is alledgedly making calls. Just not sure where this is coming from and we have told them off the record what the situation is. Don't
want to do anything that makes a bad situation worse. My vote is to live with the bad report and clean it up when we sign
