It's too short though. And when I hear ,,androgynous voice,, I send people to listen his live Destiny tour or Bad, especially the amateur recordings. The man had a full melodic rock and funk voice when he needed ...and he used falsetto rarely (Don't Stop till you get enough, In The Closet for example), for the rest he used full head voice. Even for ad-libs. The word versatile is used now in the way that it's losing its meaning. He is a chameleonic vocalist. As he used to do in his private life and friends are describing how easily he could ,,switch codes, or talking in different voices and styles. Might I argue that it started with The Jacksons Destiny album. He is unbelievable.

No encuentro especial problema en que su voz se defina como andrógina, aunque, a mi humilde parecer, a mí me suena mas próxima a la voz blanca -paradójicamente- mas en adulto que cuando era niño de facto.

Con lo primero no estoy (tan) de acuerdo, lo segundo, tiene un puntito, a mi parecer, pero nada si comparamos por ejem, con Thomas Anders de Modern Talking, que -dicho de paso-me encanta su voz.
I hear in the metallic/silvery inflections of his voice his roots. Somehow I knew that he wasn't white before seeing him. Perhaps it's that ,,blues,, that he also carries in his voice, I think that Marvin Gaye said this, no matter what genre Michael sings, he's having the ,,blues,,. Approximate quote.
I was addressing this frugal video you linked it. About the type of his voice, some says lyric tenor, some high tenor. No matter what his voice is extraordinary in depth and expression.

Levis, cuando digo voz blanca me refiero que, al menos en español, en inglés lo desconozco- la que es propia de la niñez, se le llama así: voz blanca, por tanto no me refería a que fuera un cantante de etnia blanca.
Oh, thanks for the clarification, really! Lol.Levis, when I say "white voice" I mean that, at least in Spanish, I don't know about English, the voice that is typical of childhood is called " white voice ," so I wasn't referring to him being a white singer.
On the other hand this idea comes to my mind as well when I hear sometimes adult Michael- his voice evokes youth. Not as biological reality, but as way of being, existing, expressing, a flow of youthful energy.

It's a pity that such writings are out there in several books, and there you have channels upon channels that are just scratching the surface, and for people it is easier to just rely on those than on such comprehensive writings. I wish I've had the power to visually translate them somehow.

Es cierto que estos artículos de libros son lo ideal pero escasea el material en otros idiomas, creo.
Por otro lado el link último que dejé aun en la superficie y con sus mas o menos desacuerdos, en mi opinión son mas que decentes para hacerse una buena idea suficiente.
pd: pero sí, definitivamente faltan libros que hablen de su faceta artística, Michael no es tomado en serio por los medios, "especialistas musicales" y todo porque sigue dándole forraje el hablar sobre su lado personal que tienden a enturbiar una y otra vez.
He is by a handful of academics. There is an academic website about MJ's art (MJJ academic studies), there are Willa Stillwater and Harriett J Manning that have published books about his short films, the first one, it will appear next year but it's very expensive...and Harriett's book is about his dance, and it's going way deeper than the known discussion, who taught MJ what moves .It is true that these book articles are ideal, but I think there is a shortage of material in other languages.
On the other hand, the last link I left, even though it's superficial and has its more or less disagreements, is in my opinion more than decent to get a good enough idea.
PS: But yes, there is definitely a lack of books that talk about his artistic side. Michael is not taken seriously by the media, "music specialists," and all because he keeps giving them fodder to talk about his personal side, which they tend to muddy time and time again.

Or Elizabeth Amisu with her (another very expensive book...but after all books are treasures),, The Dangerous philosophies of MJ,, and this academic has even launched a PHD program for anyone interested in studying MJ. Check the last video of MJ fan girl TV, Amisu is interviewed here. Then you have Isabelle Petitjean with the book I've linked above, she has PHD in mysicology and she was struggling to translate in English her last book. What I see though is the fact that there isn't a connection between them, to say so, each with their own projects. Which is a pity. Isabelle has an academic portal with several articles written about Michael, be it about his voice or dance. Nakan? I forgot.
One of these academics said the fact that unfortunately after 2019 it became hard for them to really extend their academic work about MJ within the world of academia because of that damn LN movie. For example Willa Stillwater had problems publishing the new book in US, she got help from UK. You can check her blog, it has nice discussions, interesting ones (dancing with the elephant blog).
As for that video is frustrating for example. Formulating, fans say that he had chronic health problems, is inaccurate, it's already known that lupus was a ravaging disease for Michael. Add the fact that he had also the physical strains of an athlete...it's a little bit of an omelette video that doesn't clarify much
